Yuki-onna es un espíritu del folclore japonés. Como todo folclore existen diferentes versiones de sus historias y apariencias. Se suele representar como una mujer alta, de piel extremadamente blanca y bella que se aparece en noches nevadas, a veces con un kimono blanco y otras veces desnuda. No deja huellas en la nieve al desplazarse por lo que algunas leyendas dicen que flota en el aire o incluso que no tiene pies.

En la mayoría de historias Yuki-onna se aparece a gente perdida en las tempestades de nieve y con su aliento los convierte en estatuas de hielo. También se dice que hace que los viajeros se pierdan intencionadamente en la nieve para que mueran de frio.

Uno de mis grupos favoritos, Symphony X, tiene una canción que habla de este espíritu. Os pongo el video con la letra en castellano a ver qué os parece. ¿Pensáis que han plasmado bien la leyenda de Yuki-onna?
